A specialist with an advanced degree in psychology, who can work in a wide range of areas including Gestalt psychology, behaviorism, humanistic psychology, cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalysis, art therapy, etc. A psychologist is not a doctor and cannot diagnose and/or prescribe drugs. They do not work with the disease — they work with healthy people who are dealing with stress, relationship issues with family and friends, trouble with decision making, conflicts, and more. The basis of the psychologist's work is training, testing, and counseling — both individual and group.
